KEEP CHRIST IN CHRISTMAS Items For Sale at St. Anthony-St. Alphonsus Church

Lexington Council has booked two dates for our annual sale of Keep Christ in Christmas items.  On each of the two Sundays, members will be in the back of the Church for all Masses from 9:00 A.M. til 1:00 P.M.

We have some wonderful new merchandise this year, including (5) different car magnets, Christmas pins and gift bags, on top of tons of other items we have continued to stock.

THE DATES THIS YEAR ARE: OCTOBER 16th and NOVEMBER 13th

Show your support and show the world the Christ, Mercy and Love are the real reason for the Season, and that we as Knights embrace it in our daily lives.  Volunteers are needed to man the table at either any or all Masses on those days.

All proceeds from this event go to benefit the Sisters of Life and their great works to assist in crisis pregnancies and prevent abortions.

Lexington Council Sponsors St. Anthony-St. Alphonsus Parish Bar-B-Que Saturday, September 17th

Join us on Saturday, September 17th, between 11:00 A.M. and 3:00 P.M. in the parking lot behind the Church at 862 Manhattan Avenue.  It is a pay-per-item event, so you can grab a burger and a beer and be on your way if you can’t stay.  We will be selling desserts and snacks, as well as soft drinks.  A good turnout of Knights will ensure a successful event, promote fun, camaraderie and brotherhood, and show the community what the Knights of Columbus is all about.  It represents a great recruitment opportunity.  We will need volunteers to set up and break down tables, and man tables to prepare and sell food and beverage items.  Come out, join us and have a good time!

CONDOLENCES TO OUR GRAND KNIGHT ON THE PASSING OF HIS MOTHER

It is with a deep sense of sorrow that the Officers and Members of Lexington Council #293 extend their sincerest sympathy to our Grand Knight, STEVE CIRONE, on the passing of his Mother, DEBORAH A. CIRONE from a sudden, massive heart attack on July 25th, 2016.

Funeral arrangements were provided by Papavero Funeral Home in Maspeth, Queens. A Mass of the Resurrection was celebrated at St. Anthony – St. Alphonsus Church in Greenpoint, Brooklyn where she resided, by Rev. Kavungal Davy, Pastor. Burial followed at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Glendale, Queens.

May her soul, and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God rest in peace. AMEN.
